Checking Out Some Social Networking Sites.

I tried to visit some of the social networking sites and the first one was "Second life" http://www.secondlife.com. Second Life is a 3-D virtual world created by its Residents. From the moment you enter the World you'll discover a vast digital continent, teeming with people, entertainment, experiences and opportunity. Once you've explored a bit, perhaps you'll find a perfect parcel of land to build your house or business. You'll also be surrounded by the Creations of your fellow Residents. Because Residents retain intellectual property rights in their digital creations, they can buy, sell and trade with other Residents. The Marketplace currently supports millions of US dollars in monthly transactions. This commerce is handled with the in world unit of trade, the Linden™ dollar, which can be converted to US dollars at several thriving online Linden dollar exchanges. So, i was impressed by how many things you can do there. It can explore your creativity and imagination.
Next one was My space http://www.myspace.com. MySpace is an online community that lets you meet your friends' friends. You can share photos, journals and interests with your friends.
You can add or listen music and videos. It has forums, blogs, and IM.
And the last one was Facebook http://www.facebook.com/. Facebook is also a social networking website with a free registration. Users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region to connect and interact with other people. People can also add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profile to notify friends about themselves.
So,all three sites that i visited was almost the same a specially the "My space" and "Facebook". They have the same purpose(communication). The "Second life" little different it's more creative, but it is for the same purpose: communication.

I never go to "Second life." After I read your post, I went. It is a very cool site. As you said, it is 3D virtual world (look like a site for game).
For facebook and myspace, I don't use them to communicate but I use MSN messenger instead. If on site, I use Hi5 and www.diaryis.com (Thai site).

Yeah ! as of right now finance is not the major to go with .Still , its a good major and by the time you ll graduate everything will be back on track.Since , we have lost so many jobs in finance there are going to be future opportunites in finance field.Whatever major you choose, you should just focus in one main field.

I have not gone to second life either, I always thought that they charged for it. I looked and they have an option to join for free. I just can't own land or get a stipend. I'll check it out. Thanks for the review.
